Mornings can be rough, but starting your day off right can make a world of difference.

Here are a few simple tips to help set the tone for a chill and productive day:

  1. Don’t Snooze Your Alarm
It’s tempting to hit snooze, but trust us—resisting that button is key.

Put your alarm across the room so you have to physically get out of bed to turn it off.

I've noticed when I set one (or two) alarms, and don't hit snooze every 10 minutes, I wake up smoother and clearer.

  2. Prepare the Night Before
Mornings are less stressful when you’ve already got things lined up.

Lay out your clothes, pack your bag, and have everything ready to go.

You’ll save yourself time and mental energy when you wake up, and it’ll make the morning flow much smoother.

I even lay out my socks and shoes, ready to go, so my morning can be as effortless as possible.

  3. Leave Early Enough
There’s nothing worse than the stress of running late.

Give yourself a buffer by leaving a little earlier than you think you need to.

That way, you can avoid traffic and unnecessary panic—your day will feel way less rushed.

Romanticise getting to where you need to be, early and something to enjoy - buy or make a coffee, give yourself 5 minutes in the car to just think about the day ahead rather than rushing in 1 minute before you start work.

  4. Hydrate Right Away
    After a night’s sleep, your body’s a bit dehydrated.

Start your day with a glass of water and toss in an electrolyte or greens powder with salt.

Coffee can wait a little; your adenosine system, which caffeine acts on, isn't even active for the first 90 minutes.

Your adrenal system is active, which is what salt acts on. You'll even feel your first coffee MORE, once you're properly hydrated.

Start your mornings with intention, and you’ll set yourself up for a great day ahead!
